Privacy policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

This privacy policy explains what data Block & Color collects, how it is used, and who processes it. Block & Color is a free mobile puzzle game for Android and iOS, with a no-ads web version, where colored pieces are placed on an 8x8 board and same-color groups clear for a high score.

WHO WE ARE

Block & Color is developed and operated by sole proprietor Dmitrii Dimov, who acts as the data controller for the purposes described in this policy. Contact address for privacy questions and data requests: dimovdt.dev@gmail.com.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

Block & Color has no account or registration system and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other contact details. Your game progress and high score are stored only locally on your device and are never sent to the developer's servers. There are no push notifications, and the app does not collect your location. Payments for in-app purchases are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play: the developer never receives your card number, billing address, or any other payment details.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Through the third-party services described below, the app processes technical device data such as device model, operating system version, language, country, and IP address; anonymized usage events such as when a game starts and ends, the score reached, the number of moves, and when an ad is shown; crash reports; and an advertising identifier, which is the Google Advertising ID on Android, and on iOS the IDFA, collected only after you consent through the system App Tracking Transparency prompt.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Google provides Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, and Google AdMob, used respectively for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and advertising; Google's privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Yandex provides Yandex Mobile Ads, used to show advertising, including when Google ads are unavailable in your region; Yandex's privacy policy is at https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/. Tenjin (Tenjin, Inc.) provides mobile attribution, used to understand which advertising campaign, if any, led you to install the app and to measure that campaign's results: it processes the technical device data and advertising identifier described above, install and session events, a short list of in-app events (tutorial completed, third and tenth game played, purchases with their prices, advertising revenue) and may share aggregated results with the advertising networks we buy ads from, such as Meta and Unity Ads; Tenjin's privacy policy is at https://www.tenjin.com/privacy. These providers may process data on their own servers, including outside your country of residence.

IN-APP PURCHASES

The mobile versions offer optional purchases: coin packs and a one-time "Remove ads" purchase. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment under its own privacy policy and shares with the developer only the fact of the purchase, the product identifier, and an anonymous transaction identifier; the app stores this on your device to deliver the purchase and restore "Remove ads" on reinstall. Purchase events are also counted in anonymized analytics as described above.

ADVERTISING

The mobile versions show a full-screen ad after a game ends, and a rewarded ad that grants a second life only when you explicitly choose to watch one. The web version has no advertising at all.

YOUR CHOICES AND CONSENT

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a Google consent form (UMP) is shown before personalized ads are served; you can change your choice at any time from the Privacy settings item in the game's settings menu. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier requires your consent through the system App Tracking Transparency dialog; if you decline, ads are shown in a less personalized form. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier at any time in your device's operating system settings.

CHILDREN

Block & Color is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

DATA RETENTION

Analytics data is retained in an anonymized or aggregated form for a limited period set by each service's own settings; Firebase Analytics data, for example, is retained for up to 14 months.
